Milestones

• 1969 : Bearings business was founded with the Imports of Bearings with Koyo Seiko Co. Ltd. Japan and introduced Koyo Bearings to Indian market
• 1979 :  Established Propreitory Company, Mumbai India.
• 1983 : Started Production of DPI Bearings DPI® began with the manufacturing of ball bearings at its plant in Pune, near Mumbai (West India).  The plant was established with technical collaboration with IKS – Japan.
• 1984 : DPI® established a second plant in Pune, near Mumbai (West India) to enhance the ball bearing production. Later on an additional line of TRB bearings was also added into to the same plant.
• 1985 : DPI ® established an organization to concentrate on the production of Tapered Roller Bearings and listed itself on Mumbai Public Stock Exchange.  In the same year an additional plant for ball bearing products was added in Navi Mumbai, (West  India).
• 1987: DPI ® Established a factory at Halol Gujurat, West India for manufacture of Tapered Roller Bearings. The factory was established by purchasing and installing machines from United States. The plant established DPI ® as one of the premier manufacturers of Tapered Roller Bearings In India with Supplies to Top OEM in India.
• 1993: After the liberalization, conceived the strategy of international diversification. Dubai was selected due to its proximity to India
• 1994: DPI® began exporting bearings for the first time with initial exports bound for Middle East and South American markets
• 1998 : Awarded Largest Distributor Award in Asia by Koyo Seiko Co. Ltd. Japan
• 2000 : DPI ® moved their headquarters to Jebel Ali Dubai to cater to expanding international growth
• 2001 : Began  Exclusive Agency for ZWZ for India and Middle East Market from Wafangdian Bearing Group Corporation
• 2010 : Established ZWZ Bearings India Pvt Ltd, Joint Venture Sales Company with Wafangdian Bearings Group Corporation.  This Joint Venture announcement was held  at a Press Conference in Mumbai India with Guest of Honor being His Excellency, Mr. Niu Qingbao, Consul General for the Peoples Republic of China in India.
• 2014 : Authorized SKF Distributors – West Africa
• 2015 : Established GWD Domestic Automotive Business Division
• 2016 : Established GWD Nigeria Office
• 2018 : Schaeffler Automotive Distributors – Middle East &  Africa – FAG, INA, LUK
• 2019 : Schaeffler Industrial Distributors – UAE  – FAG, INA
• 2020 : SKF Automotive Distributors- Middle East & Africa
• 2021 : Exclusive Distributors AtlasBX Batteries (Hankook & Co, South Korea) – UAE
• 2022 : Established GWD Bangladesh Office
• 2023 : Started working with Beckhoff and Established office in Abu Dhabi

• 2024 : Established office in Ethiopia & Started working with GMB, 555 and Osram. New headquarters opened in Dubai
